General Reginald ‘Rex’ Blackthorn III 1710-1811

General Blackthorn III was born January first 1710 the eldest of fifteen children to General Reginald Blackthorn II and Cordelia Dorothea Franklin. Following in his father’s footsteps he joined the military at the age of eighteen.

He founded the island of where the school is in 1750 at the age of 40 then founded the school ten years later.

His own children and grandchildren attended the school some returned, some didn’t. He even got to see his great grandchildren and great great grand children join the school.

Passing away at the good old age of 101 General Reginald Blackthorn the III’s memory lives on thoughout the school
